The pay to stay concept began in Dayton as the outcome of a task force. Toledo's <br /> ordinance does not sunset at the end of the pandemic. <br /> The committee discussed how Ordinance 12-2021 as written only applies during the COVID <br /> emergency and proposed adding a cushion to capture eviction proceedings that have been <br /> initiated during the state of emergency. <br /> Director Corrigan suggested the following amendment to Section 1: <br /> After the word"that"insert"any eviction action filed" ... <br /> A motion was made and seconded to adopt the amendment. <br /> The committee discussed the potential of making the policy permanent.
