Employment Wage of the Lakewood Codified Ordinances to increase the living wage to <br /> $15.00 per hour. (pg. 18) <br /> President O'Malley made a motion, seconded by Vice President Litten to refer Ordinance 15- <br /> 2021 to the Finance Committee. <br /> Discussion: Councilmember Bullock stated the Finance Committee will look at it and noted <br /> there is moral authority to pay a fair living wage. President O'Malley stated that the people <br /> that would be impacted are the city security guards and kitchen staff in the Human Services <br /> Department. He added that it is not a lot of money to the city, but it is to the individuals to <br /> potentially be affected. <br /> A roll call vote was taken as follows: <br /> Yeas —Bullock, Kepple, Litten, Neff, O'Malley, Rader, Shachner <br /> Nays —None <br /> Motion passed. Ordinance 15-2021 was referred to the Finance Committee. <br /> 14. Communication from Councilmember Bullock regarding decisive action to improve public <br /> safety in Lakewood. (pg. 20) <br /> Councilmember Bullock made a motion, seconded by President O'Malley to receive and file <br /> the communication. <br /> A roll call vote was taken as follows: <br /> Yeas —Bullock, Kepple, Litten, Neff, O'Malley, Rader, Shachner <br /> Nays —None <br /> Motion passed. The communication was received and filed. <br /> 15. Communication from Councilmembers Kepple, Shachner & Neff regarding intersectional <br /> and holistic safety approaches.
