Motion passed. The communication was referred to Committee of the Whole,the Anti-Racism <br /> Task Force, and the Lakewood Community Relations Advisory Committee. <br /> 16. Communication from President O'Malley, Vice President Litten and Councilmember <br /> Rader regarding public safety recommendations. (pg. 25) <br /> President O'Malley made a motion, seconded by Vice President Litten to refer the <br /> communication to the Public Safety Committee. <br /> Discussion: Councilmember Rader provided information on state Sunshine Laws, which <br /> prevent a majority of councilmembers from working together outside of a public meeting. <br /> Mayor George proposed referring the communication to Committee of the Whole. <br /> On the motion: President O'Malley and Vice President Litten amended the motion to refer the <br /> communication to Committee of the Whole, the Anti-Racism Task Force, the Lakewood <br /> Community Relations Advisory Committee, and the Youth Task Force. <br /> A roll call vote was taken as follows: <br /> Yeas —Bullock, Kepple, Litten, Neff, O'Malley, Rader, Shachner <br /> Nays —None <br /> Motion passed. The communication was referred to Committee of the Whole,the Anti-Racism <br /> Task Force, the Lakewood Community Relations Advisory Committee, and the Youth Task <br /> Force. <br /> 17. Communication from Councilmembers Bullock, Rader, Kepple, & Shachner regarding <br /> support for clean water improvements to Lake Erie. (pg. 27) <br /> Councilmember Bullock made a motion, seconded by President O'Malley to receive and file <br /> the communication. <br /> Public Comment: Sandy Binh Ms.Binh highlighted the importance ofLake Erie as a resource <br /> and economic engine, noting that there's an opportunity to have it addressed by the Biden <br /> administration. <br /> On the motion: A roll call vote was taken as follows: <br /> Yeas —Bullock, Kepple, Litten, Neff, O'Malley, Rader, Shachner <br /> Nays —None <br /> Motion passed.
