Report from Councilmember Litten regarding Community Recreation & Education <br /> Commission meeting held October 26, 2021. (to be provided) <br /> Vice President Litten stated he was able to attend his first meeting as Council Liaison to <br /> CREC on October 26th. The committee mainly heard from Leslie Favre, who provided <br /> updates to the committee on the work to improve Lakewood's baseball fields established <br /> through the MOU between the schools and the city. An architecture firm has been hired to <br /> design the work and there is a shared goal to have initial field repairs completed by April 1st <br /> of next year, with Foxx and Usher Fields being the main focus. The fields are now being <br /> dragged regularly, which has not happened in the past. An employee who has managed field <br /> maintenance will be shifted to full time on January 1st, 2022. <br /> Motion by Vice President Litten, seconded by President O'Malley to receive and file the oral <br /> report. <br /> 8 <br />
