Discussion: Councilmember Litten thanked Councilmember Kepple for attended the <br /> meeting in his stead. <br /> On the motion: All members voted in favor. Motion passed. <br /> ****NEW BUSINESS*** <br /> 26. Lakewood Community Relations Advisory Commission Presentation of Annual Report& <br /> Community Survey Feedback. (pg. 92) <br /> President O'Malley introduced the Commission and remarked on the importance of its work <br /> to the community. <br /> Community Relations Specialist Melissa Garrett introduced LCRAC Co-Chair Tracy <br /> Greenberg, who presented the LCRAC Annual report to Council. <br /> LCRAC Co-Chair Neil Gromek and member Neil Chavan provided a presentation (attached) <br /> regarding the outcomes of a community survey LCRAC conducted of 600 residents. <br /> President O'Malley applauded LCRAC's work and its survey. He expressed enthusiasm for <br /> taking action on the conclusions of the survey. <br /> Councilmember Bullock applauded LCRAC's work and suggested that the survey could <br /> potentially be conducted on an annual basis. <br /> Mr. Gromek invited all councilmembers to attend meetings or meet one on one to do a"deep <br /> dive" into the data. <br /> President O'Malley thanked Melissa Garrett for facilitating the group's work. <br /> Motion by President O'Malley, seconded by Vice President Litten to receive and file the <br /> presentations. All members voted in favor. Motion passed. <br /> 27. Communication from Councilmembers Rader & Kepple regarding recent attacks on <br /> abortion access from federal, state, and local entities. (to be provided) <br /> Councilmember Kepple provided the following communication: <br /> While abortion is still legal in Ohio, and a right protected by the United States <br /> Constitution, the Ohio Senate is currently considering SB 123, also known as a <br /> "trigger ban", which would ban all abortions in the State of Ohio if the U.S. <br /> Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade. Additionally, Ohio House Bill 480 <br /> would emulate the extreme anti-abortion Texas bill. Ohio HB480 would <br /> incentivize neighbor to turn on neighbor, and the bounties placed on reporting <br /> 9 <br />
