Communication from Director Corrigan regarding a new liquor permit application by <br /> Lou & Al's Pies, Slices, and Ice at 14724 Detroit Ave. <br /> Motion by President O'Malley, seconded by Vice President Litten to receive and file the <br /> communication. <br /> Discussion: In response to a question, Director Corrigan explained that it seems the business <br /> got ahead of itself and attempted to secure the permit before securing a space. Neither the City <br /> nor the State can issue a liquor license without evidence of a physical location. <br /> Councilmember Shachner, in whose ward the establishment lies, expressed disappointment that <br /> the space will remain unfilled but acknowledged that objecting is necessary. <br /> All members voted in favor.
