Discussion: President O'Malley requested that Finance Director be prepared to let Council <br /> know what the city has collected on an annual basis from the current fee structure. He noted that <br /> the measure being considered for repeal was a major factor in the approval of medical <br /> mar�uana in the city. <br /> On the motion: All in favor. Motion passed. Ordinance 13-2022 was referred to the Housing, <br /> Planning, & Development Committee. <br /> 23. Communication from Director Corrigan regarding LCO 549.19 Pocket knives. (pg. 73) <br /> Motion by President O'Malley, seconded by Vice President Litten to receive and file the <br /> communication. All in favor. Motion passed. The communication was received and filed. <br /> 24. ORDINANCE 14-2022 - AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives the <br /> affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council repealing Section 549.19 Pocket <br /> Knives, of the Lakewood Codified Ordinances. (pg. 74) <br /> Motion by President O'Malley, seconded by Vice President Litten to refer Ordinance 14-2022 to <br /> the Public Safety Committee. <br /> Discussion: Councilmember Rader noted that the ordinance appears to deal with the sale and <br /> possession of knives as well as concealment. He asked if the bill that was passed deals with the <br /> transmission of knives. Director Corrigan stated he did not believe so and that the repeal of the <br /> chapter would be discussed in committee. <br /> On the motion: All in favor. Motion passed. Ordinance 14-2022 was referred to the Public Safety <br /> Committee. <br /> 25. Communication from Engineer Papke regarding a permanent construction easement at 17203 <br /> Hilliard Road (PPN 313-11-006). (pg. 76) <br /> Motion by President O'Malley, seconded by Vice President Litten to receive and file the <br /> communication. All in favor. Motion passed. The communication was received and filed. <br /> 26. RESOLUTION 2022-07 - A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it receives the <br /> vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take effect at the earliest <br /> period allowed by law, authorizing the Mayor to enter into a permanent traffic control safety <br /> improvements easement agreement with JK & MAG LLC, governing the rights of the parties <br /> relative to a parcel located at 17203 HILLIARD RAD, Lakewood, Ohio 44107 (PPN4311-11- <br /> 006)which grants the City of Lakewood access to the parcel for construction and ongoing <br /> maintenance of any and all traffic control devices and appurtenances in exchange for the <br /> replacement of approximately 225 square feet of non-compliant concrete sidewalk panels. (pg. <br /> 77) <br /> Motion by President O'Malley, seconded by Vice President Litten to refer Resolution 2022-07 to <br /> the Public Works & Sustainability Committee. All in favor. Motion passed.
