Discussion: President O'Malley requested that Finance Director be prepared to let Council know what the city has collected on an annual basis from the current fee structure. He noted that the measure being considered for repeal was a major factor in the approval of medical mar�uana in the city. On the motion: All in favor. Motion passed. Ordinance 13-2022 was referred to the Housing, Planning, & Development Committee. 23. Communication from Director Corrigan regarding LCO 549.19 Pocket knives. (pg. 73) Motion by President O'Malley, seconded by Vice President Litten to receive and file the communication. All in favor. Motion passed. The communication was received and filed. 24. ORDINANCE 14-2022 - AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council repealing Section 549.19 Pocket Knives, of the Lakewood Codified Ordinances. (pg. 74) Motion by President O'Malley, seconded by Vice President Litten to refer Ordinance 14-2022 to the Public Safety Committee. Discussion: Councilmember Rader noted that the ordinance appears to deal with the sale and possession of knives as well as concealment. He asked if the bill that was passed deals with the transmission of knives. Director Corrigan stated he did not believe so and that the repeal of the chapter would be discussed in committee. Communication from Engineer Papke regarding a permanent construction easement at 17203 Hilliard Road (PPN 313-11-006). RESOLUTION 2022-07 - A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it receives the vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take effect at the earliest period allowed by law, authorizing the Mayor to enter into a permanent traffic control safety improvements easement agreement with JK & MAG LLC, governing the rights of the parties relative to a parcel located at 17203 HILLIARD RAD, Lakewood, Ohio 44107 (PPN4311-11- 006)which grants the City of Lakewood access to the parcel for construction and ongoing maintenance of any and all traffic control devices and appurtenances in exchange for the replacement of approximately 225 square feet of non-compliant concrete sidewalk panels.
