William Yeung— 1620 Victoria Ave. <br /> Mr. Yeung expressed support for Reso. 2022-08 and concern about attempts at censoring <br /> history and advocated for learning from history's mistakes. <br /> Laura Rodriguez-Carbone—2069 McKinley Ave. <br /> Ms. Rodriguez-Carbone thanked Council for the resolution and for their support. She remarked <br /> that the House Bills eat away at the progress made by people of color. <br /> Jessica Cotton— 1599 Orchard Grove Ave. <br /> Ms. Cotton thanked Council for the resolution and for their support. She remarked that this is a <br /> positive step but that much work needs to be done. <br /> Angelina Steiner—2261 Northland Ave. <br /> Ms. Steiner encouraged Council to take additional steps to ensure that these house bills will die. <br /> She stated that these house bills racist and explained what that means to her. She identified <br /> these bills and similar initiatives as a movement against anti-racism. <br /> Samuel Pearson— 1298 Belle Ave. <br /> Mr. Pearson thanked Council for the resolution and for their support. <br /> Kate McBride— 18129 W. Clifton Rd. <br /> Ms. McBride thanked Council for the resolution and for their support and encouraged additional <br /> steps. <br /> Nathan Lizanich— 1617 Robinwood Ave. <br /> Mr. Lizanich thanked Council for the resolution and encouraged Council to take additional <br /> steps. <br /> On the motion: All members voted in favor. Motion passed. Resolution 2022-08 was adopted. <br /> 15. Communication from Councilmembers Baker, Bullock & Rader regarding Solsmart <br /> Designation. (pg. 33) <br /> Motion by President O'Malley, seconded by Vice President Litten to receive and file the <br /> communication. <br /> Discussion: Councilmembers Rader and Bullock expressed support for the legislation and <br /> provided additional context related to the initiative. <br /> On the motion: All members voted in favor. RESOLUTION 2022-09 - A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it <br /> receives the vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take <br /> 9 <br />
