RESOLUTION 2022-21 - A RESOLUTION to recognize the month of June 2022 as <br /> Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual, Transgender, Queer+ (LGBTQ+)Pride Month in the City of <br /> Lakewood. (pg. 4) <br /> Motion by President Litten, seconded by Vice President Kepple to adopt Resolution 2022-21. <br /> Discussion: Vice President Kepple informed the public about House Bill 151, which was <br /> recently passed in the Ohio General Assembly, requires student athletes to undergone genital <br /> examination if anyone questions their gender. She shared information and statistics about <br /> obstacles that the LGBTQIA+population faces. She expressed support for the LGBTIA+ <br /> population on behalf of the City of Lakewood. Councilmember Rader spoke to how people have <br /> chosen to move to Lakewood because of the city's embrace ofall people, especially the <br /> LGBTQIA+population. Councilmember Bullock bemoaned House Bill 151 and expressed <br /> support for Resolution 2022-21. President Litten spoke about how far the city government has <br /> 2 <br />
