During such lunch period, with the <br />permission of the shift commander, which will not be unreasonably denied, Dispatcher shall be <br />allowed to leave the building for the express purpose of obtain a food order and for no other <br />purpose. - <br />If transportation is necessary, it must be privately owned. The lunch period shall not be <br />extended. Lunch is to be eaten outside the Dispatch Office. The workweek shall commence at <br />12:01 a.m. on Sunday and end at midnight Saturday. This section shall not be construed as a <br />guarantee of hours of work per day or per week, and the City reserves the right to establish and <br />change hours of work, shifts and schedule of hours, provided that this section shall not be <br />construed to give the City the right to reduce the workweek below forty (40) hours per week for <br />any full-time, hourly employee. <br />13.02 All employees shall be allowed not less than thirty (30) uninterrupted minutes for a <br />scheduled lunch period, except for emergencies or other mutually agreed upon schedules. <br />13.03 There shall be two (2) fifteen (15) minute rest periods on each shift each workday. The <br />rest periods, to the extent practicable, will be scheduled during the middle of two (2) hours of <br />each shift, but they may not be scheduled immediately before or after the meal period or at the <br />start or end of a shift unless requested by the employee and agreed to by the City. Additionally, <br />employees working overtime shall be entitled to a fifteen (15) minute break after two (2) hours <br />of overtime. <br />13.04 Notice of Shift Change. Any changes in shift scheduling shall be provided at least <br />seventy-two (72) hours in advance of the schedule change, except in an emergency or <br />unscheduled absence situation. <br />13.05 Posting of Schedules. Schedules shall be posted for the next month on the 20th day of the <br />preceding month. , <br />13.06 On an annual basis employees have the opportunity, based on seniority, to bid on their <br />shift for the following year. Bidding will occur prior to the vacation selection for the following <br />year. <br />ARTICLE 14 OVERTIME <br />14.01 All overtime must be approved by the Chief of Police or his designated representative <br />and all assigned overtime must be worked and will be compensated for as provided in this <br />Agreement. <br />14.02 Any hours of duty in excess of eight (8) hours within an employee's regularly scheduled <br />workday or 40 hours in single workweek (Sunday 12:01 a.m. through Saturday 12:00 a.m.) shall <br />be compensated at the following rates: <br />A. Time and one-half (1-1/2) for all hours on duty in excess of eight (8) hours. <br />
