(pg. 6) <br /> Motion by President Litten, seconded by Vice President Kepple to adopt Resolution 2023-14. All <br /> in favor. Motion passed. <br /> 7. ORDINANCE 06-2023 - AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it <br /> receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise <br /> to take effect at the earliest period allowed by law, levying special assessments for <br /> acquiring, constructing, installing, equipping, improving, maintaining and repairing <br /> improvements necessary for making improvements to abate erosion along properties within <br /> the City included within the Lakewood Shoreline Special Improvement District, together <br /> with all necessary appurtenances thereto. (pg. 10) <br /> Motion by President Litten, seconded by Vice President Kepple to suspend the rules to pass <br /> Ordinance 06-2023 on first read. <br /> A roll call was taken as follows: <br /> Yeas- Baker, Bullock, Kepple, Litten, Marx, Rader, Shachner <br /> Nays- <br /> On the motion: Motion passed. Rules suspended. <br /> Motion by President Litten, seconded by Vice President Kepple to adopt Ordinance 06-2023. <br /> Discussion: Law Director Vargo explained that the Law Department will negotiate the agreement <br /> and present it to Council so that it will become packaged with the Ordinance. <br /> A roll call was taken as follows: <br /> Yeas- Baker, Bullock, Kepple, Litten, Marx, Rader, Shachner <br /> Nays- <br /> On the motion: Motion passed. Ordinance 06-2023 was adopted. <br /> 8. Communication from the Planning Department regarding Zoning Code Amendment — <br /> Primary lot coverage and additional district regulations. (pg. 12) <br /> Motion by President Litten,seconded by Vice President Kepple to receive and file communication. <br /> Discussion: Director Leininger thanked Councilmember Shachner for his efforts in moving the <br /> conversation forward as previous Chair of the Housing, Planning & Development Committee. <br /> Councilmember Shachner thanked Director Leininger and the Administration for moving the <br /> legislation ahead. He expressed the importance of supporting intergenerational living. <br /> 4 <br />
