Motion by President Litten, seconded by Vice President Kepple to adopt Resolution 2023-20. <br /> <br />Discussion: President Litten shared his appreciation for the Lakewood Youth Council. <br /> <br />On the motion: All in favor. Motion passed. Resolution 2023-20 was adopted. <br /> <br />***NEW BUSINESS*** <br /> <br />8. Lakewood Heritage Advisory Board Annual Preservation Award presentation. (pg. 15) <br /> <br />The Lakewood Heritage Advisory Board delivered its Annual Preservation Awards and recognized <br />awardees who were present, including the City of Lakewood for its adaptive reuse of Cove Church. <br /> <br />Motion by President Litten, seconded by Vice President Kepple to receive and file presentation. <br />All in favor. Motion passed. <br />9. Communication from President Litten regarding Council ARPA Allocations. (pg. 21) <br /> <br />Motion by President Litten, seconded by Vice President Kepple to receive and file communication. <br /> <br />Discussion: Councilmember Bullock thanked President Litten and Mayor George for the work <br />done on the ARPA allocations and the investment in city facilities. <br /> <br />Councilmember Rader thanked Council leadership, including President Litten and Vice President <br />Kepple. He mentioned that there are still ARPA funds left to be deliberated on. <br /> <br />President Litten explained that the Committee of the Whole will still be held for ARPA discussions <br />to continue. He commended Vice President Kepple on her use of technology to move the ARPA <br />process along. <br /> <br />On the motion: All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> <br />10. RESOLUTION 2023-22 - A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it <br />receives the vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take <br />effect at the earliest period allowed by law, authorizing the Mayor and/or Director of <br />Finance or Director of Law to allocate $1,586,178.00 from City CouncilÓs portion of <br />American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to the below listed projects in the identified <br />amounts. (pg. 22) <br /> <br />Motion by President Litten, seconded by Vice President Kepple to adopt Resolution 2023-22. All <br />in favor. Motion passed. Resolution 2023-22 adopted. <br /> <br />11. RESOLUTION 2023-23 - A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it <br />receives the vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take <br />effect at the earliest period allowed by law, authorizing the Mayor and/or Director of <br />Finance or Director of Law to allocate and expend $86,178 of American Rescue Plan Act <br />Ў <br /> <br /> <br />
