ORDINANCE NO. 81=39' <br />Page -4~- <br />After 1983, all elections for Council shall <br />be for four year terms except for those <br />elections for unexpired terms necessitated <br />by Section 9 of Article III. <br />The next question to be submitted to the electors shall be: <br />C. Shall Article XI of the Charter of Mayfield Village, <br />Ohio, be amended by deleting the first sentence, which now <br />reads: "At the general election in November of 1980 and at <br />the general election in November of each tenth year thereafter, <br />a Charter Review Commission of 11 members shall be elected." <br />and replaced by the following wording: "At the general election <br />in November of 1980, and at the general election in November <br />of each fifth year thereafter, a Charter Review Commission of <br />11 members shall be elected." <br />The ballot question for this proposition shall be: <br />(C) Shall the Charter of Mayfield Village be amended <br />to provide for the election of a non-paid Charter Review <br />Commission every five years instead of every ten years? <br />The next question to be presented to the electors shall be: <br />D. Shall Article XI of the Charter of Mayfield Village <br />be amended by changing the sentence in the first paragraph <br />thereof, which now reads: "No elected official of the <br />municipality shall be eligible to serve on a Charter Review <br />Commission." to read as follows: "'No elected official or <br />employee of the~rnunicipality shall be eligible to serve on <br />a Charter Review Commission." <br />The ballot question for the above proposition shall be: <br />(D) Shall the qualifications for membership on the Charter <br />Review Commission of Mayfield Village, which now excludes <br />membership by any elected official of the municipality, be <br />further restricted to exclude membership by employees of the <br />municipality? <br />The next question to .be presented to the electors shall be: <br />E, Because of the current wording of various Sections <br />of the Charter dealing with Boards and Commissions of the <br />municipality, membership on the Charter Review Commission <br />might disqualify a person from also serving on other Boards <br />or Commissions. Shall this prohibition be struck from the <br />Charter by including the following sentence in Article XI <br />at the end of the first paragraph: "Election to the Charter <br />Review Commission of Mayfield Village shall not, under any <br />circumstance, disqualify a person from serving as. a:.non=.paid <br />member.on~.:any:_other Board ~:or~~.Commrsson,of the municipality." <br />
