Michael W. Spellman February 3, 1980 STANDING RULES OF THE (~~L -- RECREATION BOARll OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE 1980 REVISION ARTICLE I. NAME OF ORGANIZATION Sec. 1. This organization shall be known as the "Recreation Board of Mayfield Village." Sec. 2. This Board is necessarily empowered by the Council of Mayfield Village, ARTICLE II. PURPOSE Sec. I. The purpose of this Board is to provide for the Recreation and Fulfillment of Mayfield Village Residents, with the possible acceptances of non- residents to allow for viable programs. ARTICLE III. MEMBERSHIP & MEETINGS Sec. 1. Membership shall consist of not less than five (5) nor more than eleven (11) residents appointed by the Mayor and subject to confirmation by a vote of not less than four•(4) members of Council. AlI rules governing Terms, Vacancies, Removal, and Compensation shall be prescribed by Council ordinances and the Village Charter. Membership is open to any adult resident of Mayfield Village. Sec. 2. Meetings shall be held at Mayfield Village Hall on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 8:00 PM. Special meetings maybe called at the discretion of the Director. All meetings shall be open to the public. ARTICLE IV . OFFICERS Sec. 1. Recreation Board shall consist of a Director, Treasurer, Secretary, and Committee Chairmen. Sec. 2. Officers of the Recreation Board shall be elected by members of the Board. Sec. 3. Term of Office shall be one year with elections held in January. ARTICLE V. DUTIES OF OFFICERS Sec. 1. Director: elected by the members, shall chair all meetings and shall have full voting rights. The Director shall serve as the chief officer of the Board. Sec. 2. Treasurers elected by the members, shall keep a true and correct account of all monies received and disbursed. The Treasurer shall control petty cash for each committee and shall likewise keep the Board informed concerning all financial matters at its monthly meetings. Sec. 3. Secretary: elected by the members, shall keep the minutes of all meetings and the official record of all business transactions, and shall likewise send copies of said minutes and transactions to•~ Village Hall. Sec. 4. Committee Chairmen: appointed by the Director of the Board, shall head specified activities and shall report their standing and/or progress to ~~ the Board at each monthly meeting. ® ARTICLE VI. COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE Sec. X. Membership must include one (1) Council representa- tive selected by the Mayor at Council's Organi- zational meeting. The representative shall serve as a liaison official between Council and the Board concerning all matters, financial or otherwise, that may involve Mayfield Village and its Residents.
