ORDINANCE N0.8O-47 Page -4- (b) Annually, thereafter each male member of the Police Department shall be reimbursed for uniforms purchased in an amount not to exceed $300.00 per year, each female member shall be reimbursed for uniforms purchased in an amount not to exceed $250.00 per year. The uniform allowance may also be used for uniform maintenance. {c) The Finance Director is hereby authorized to reimburse all members of the Police Department-for expenditures made in accordance with Section 2(a) and (b) provided, however, that receipted bills evidencing the purchases are submitted together with an approval for payment by the Chief of Police. The Finance Director is further authorized to make such distributions during January and July of -each year for the prior six-month period. (d) Subparagraph (c) of this Ordinance shall be effective July 1, 1980. (e) Each police officer, excluding the Chief of Police, shall be compensated in addition to the salary schedule set forth in Section 1 for attendance required in Court if such appearance occurs while the police officer is not on duty. The police officer under these circum- stances shall be paid the equivalent of two hours additional compensation computed at the officer's regular hourly rate provided in Section 1. _- (f) Each full-time member of the Service Department shall be reimbursed for work clothing purchased in an amount not to exceed $150.00 per year. The Finance Director is authorized to make such ~ distributions during January of each-year. Receipted bills evidencing the purchases will be submitted to the Building Commissioner for his approval and then on to the Finance Director for payment. The uniform allowance may also be used for uniform maintenance. (g) Each full-time firefighter shall have his or her work and dress uniform purchased by the Village through the Fire Chief at his discretion. Each full-time firefighter shall also receive $50.00 for uniform maintenance payable by the Village Finance Director in January of each year. Section 3. Longevity Schedule Each employee of the municipality shall be entitled to longevity pay increases in accordance with the following schedule: (a) For not less than five (5) years or more than ten (10) years' service, $15.00 additional compensation per month. (b) For not less than ten (10) years nor more than fifteen (15) years° service, $30.00 additional compensation per month. (c) For not less than fifteen (15) years nor more than twenty (20)_ years'- service, $45.00 additional compensation per month.
