Should the drawbar <br />or other connection break or become disengaged, provided, however, <br />that in the case of a loaded pole trailer the connecting pole <br />to the drawing vehicle shall be coupled to the drawing vehicle <br />with stay chains br cables of sufficient size and strength to <br />prevent parting from the drawing vehicle. <br />(d) Every trailer or semi--trailer, except pole and cable <br />trailers and pole and cable dollies operated by a public utility <br />as defined in section 515 of the General Code shall be equipped <br />with a coupling device which shall be so designed and constructed <br />that the trailer Tr~rill follow substantially in the path of the <br />vehicle drawing it without whipping or swerving from side to side. <br />Section 101--Unlawful Loads--Wei hin Etc. <br />a Any police officer having reason to believe that the <br />wreight of a vehicle and load is unlawful is authorized to require <br />the driver to stop anal submit to a weighing of the same either by <br />means of a portable or stationary scales and may require that such <br />vehicle be driven to the nearest public scales. <br />(b) Whenever such officer upon weighing a vehicle and load, <br />as above provided, determines that the weight is unlawful, such <br />officer may require the driver to stop the vehicle in a suitable <br />place and remain standing until such portion of the load is <br />removed as may be necessary tb reduce the gross weight of such- <br />vehicle to such as permitted under this ordinance. <br />Section 102--Provision For S~~ecial Heav Loads <br />a The Chief of Police may in his discretion, upon applica- <br />tion in writing and good cause being shown therefor, issue a special <br />permit in writing authorizing the applicant to operate or move . <br />s. vehicle or combination of vehicles of a sire or weight of <br />vehicle or load exceeding the maximum specified in sections 726 <br />-to 7250, inclusive, of the General Code or otherwise not in conform- <br />ity Frith the provisions of this ordinance upon any highway in the <br />villagei Any such permit may be issued for a single or round trip <br />or in special instances for a certain period of time, <br />Section 1.0 ---Licens® 1Vumbera <br />a Tt shall be unlawful for any person t® operate any motor <br />vehicle T,rhich has not. been registered with the State of Ohio <br />according t~ law and for which license numbers or license number <br />plates have been issued. Said number or numbers shall at all <br />times be maintainea.~ both as to position arld condition theroof, <br />s® that they shall be plainly visible and free from any substs,nce <br />or material of any kind obscuring them, and said number shall at <br />all times be maintained in their entirety. <br />{b) Tt shall be unlawful for any person to drive any motor <br />vehicle upon any street in the village which vehicle displays <br />fictitious number plates. <br />Section_10~--Driving Without Operators License <br />No person shall operate any motor vehicle unless he is <br />licensed as an Operator or Chauffeur as required by the State of <br />Ohio and unless such license so granted by in full force and effect, <br />and in his possession at all times while operating such vehicle, <br />and no person shall violate any condition or privilege of such <br />license. No person shall permit an unlicensed driver to operate <br />any motor vehicle owned by him. <br />
