Between a building line and the street line no building <br />or portion of a building extending above the established grade may be erected. <br />In a class vl or U2 district a one story unenclosed porch may, however, be <br />constructed betvveen ths building line and the street Iine. On a corner Iot <br />betTyeen the builaing line and the street line and within th$ triangular space <br />included between the street Ti.nes for a distance of 25 feet from their point of <br />intersection= no fence or other structure more than three feet in height above the <br />glane of the establish$d grade sha11 hereafter be erected, and no shrubs or foliage <br />shaZZ be maintained that in the jurlgment of the inspector of buiZdings wilI materi- <br />ally obstruct the view by adriver of a vehicle approaching the intersection =d <br />-within 75 feet of the center of such intersection of approaching cross.traffic <br />-vithin 75 feet of the center of such intersection. In a class U3 d.istrict along the side <br />line of a corner Zot the distance of the building line back from the street <br />line shaL1 be 12 per cent of the average width of such Zot9 but such distance <br />back from the street line need not be more than. 12 feet. <br />Section 21. Enforcement; board of zoning appeals. This ordinance <br />shall be enforced by the inspector of biaildings unrler the rules and regu.Iations <br />of the boa.rd of zoning appea:Ls. The city planning ana zoning commission is <br />herebe constituted a boaxd of zoning apgeals for ths purgose of this ordinance. <br />2I1- meetings of the boazd of zoning appeaZs shall be public. The board of zoning <br />appeals shaTl ker;p mi.nutes of its proceedings., shovring the vote of each member upon <br />every question, or, if absent or failing to vote, indiea-te such fact. The board <br />of zoning a.ppeaIs shaLt adopt from time tQ time such rules anrl regutations as they <br />may deem necessary to carry into effect the provisions of this ord.inance. 9ny <br />decision of the 3.n.spector of buiZdings made in the enforcement of this ordinance <br />ma.y be appealesl to the boasd of zoning appeals by any person cZaiming to be adversely <br />affected by such decision. 1??'here there are pra.cticaZ difficus.ties or unnecessary <br />Y?ardships in the way o.f carrying out the strict letter of the provisions of this <br />ordinance, the boa.rd of zoning appea.Zs sha.7-I have power in a specific case to vary <br />any such provision in harmony -with its genera.l purpose and intent so that the public <br />health, safety and genera.l welfare may be secured and substantial justice done. <br />-10-
