-6- <br />B. Procedure: <br />a. The Owner's Engineer shall sulamit to the Village Engineer all <br />Improvement Plans for his approval. Thee plans for water <br />shall be sent to the Cleveland 1,'Vater Department for required <br />approval; the plans and profiles for severs shall be sent to <br />the Cuyahoga County Sanitary Engineering Department for <br />required approval; copies-of these approvals shall be filed <br />- with the Village Engineer. <br />b. A set of duplicate tracings of all Improvement Plans shall <br />be filed ~,rith the Village Engineer before any construction <br />may be started. Complete specifications shall be approved <br />by the respective agencies and filed in triplicate vrith the <br />Village Engineer. <br />c. The owner shall deposit vTith the Village Clerk a surn fixed in <br />amount by the Village Engineer to defray all expenses incurred <br />by the Village Engineer in checking plans and specifications and, <br />in addition, all costs of inspection by the Village Engineer <br />and the Village Inspector during cons-h,ruction of said improve- <br />ments, a.nd cost of damages to~ existing facilities. If the sum <br />fixed proves to be inadequate, the owner, upon notice to do <br />so, shall deposit such additional amoLtnt forthti~rith. If -Ehere <br />is a surplus, such excess shall be returned to the Owner. This <br />deposit shall be in the Village Treasury before any work is <br />done by the Village Engineer to the-approved established grade, <br />plans, and specifications for all underground improvements. <br />If such deficiencies of these funds orrur during the con- <br />struction of the improvements, the Otianer shall have a period <br />of seven days to make the necessary deposit; if the Owner fails <br />to comply, the Village L'ri.gineer may order the discontinuance of <br />the construction of the Improvements until the owner complies <br />vrith the regulations. As soon as the established grade is <br />approved by the Village Engineer, it shall be submitted by him <br />to Council for its approval. As soon as plans and specifications <br />have been approved by the Village Engineer, Cuyahoga County <br />Sanitary Engineer, Cleveland Vdater Depar-tanent, and Council, the <br />O~~mer may proceed yTith construction. <br />d. The Owner shall enter into contract with a Contractor for the <br />following listed improvements :~ - <br />1) Contract for clearing, grubbing, and grading the streets. <br />2 ( Contract for storm and sanita?~ seyTers, ' traater main, <br />all curb connections, and appurtenances. <br />3) Contract for the construction of a temporary pavement. <br />In order to provide for the maintenance of the tempoa~ary <br />pavement the Owner shall deposit iri the name of the Village <br />in a bank or savings and loan.'company an amount to be <br />fixed by the Village Engineer.- If the Qt~Tner refuges to <br />comply -~~rith the Village Engineer's order to perform any <br />such maintenance as may be required, the Village Engineer <br />shall proceed to do such ~^JOrk using funds previously de- <br />posited for the maintenance of the temporary pavement. <br />The Contractor shall provide evidence that he is carrying public <br />liability insurance covering himself- and -the Village in the <br />a?nount of ~ 100, 000, - ~$ 300, ooo . <br />
