C. 12823.) <br />CRIMINAL OFFENSES <br />Defined-Offenses which may be punished by death or <br />by imprisonment are felonies; all other offenses are mis- <br />demeanors. C. 12400, 12401, 12402, 12402-1, <br />12403, 12404, 6307-18) <br />(c) Taking or attempting to take the. life of presi- <br />dent, vice-president, cabinet member, governor <br />or lieutenant governor (G. Assist in the evacuation of persons from dangerous <br />areas and prevent unauthorized persons from enter- <br />ing such areas. <br />11. Protect grounded enemy aircraft and personnel. <br />12. Prevent and control panic, disorder, hysteria and <br />mob action. <br />13. Enforce emergency regulations. <br />14. Apprehend violators and detain suspicious persons <br />for investigation. <br />15. Protect life and property, prevent looting and other <br />illegal actions. <br />16. Report the location of unexploded bombs and take <br />protective action. <br />17. Keep. detailed notes of all actions taken and inci- <br />dents noted. <br />18. Be alert for and report any acts of sedition, sabotage <br />or espionage. " <br />First Aid: <br />First Aid training of at least 20 hours is a requirement <br />and such course may be conducted by qualified agencies <br />other than law-enforcement personnel. . <br />Problems of law-enforcement agencies incident to H and <br />A bombs, incendiaries, high explosives, radiological and <br />bacteriological warfare, sabotage, espionage, propa- <br />ganda, sedition and related material is also required, <br />and such training may be conducted by qualified agen- <br />cies other than law-enforcement personnel. <br />Basic Police Principles: <br />1.
