a. Signs Related to Property <br />If any property is located within a band 660 feet <br />from the limited-access line (hereinafter the <br />1-a line) of the Interstate System a pole or <br />ground sign, or signs, shall be permitted on a lot <br />occupied by the activity advertised provided not <br />more than one face shall be visible from traffic <br />proceeding in any one direction. Said sign shall <br />be limited to development, identification, business, <br />directional or informational signs. The area of <br />the sign on any lot shall not exceed 75 square <br />feet in area, and, no sign shall be located less <br />than 20 feet from the 1-a line. <br />b. Signs Related to Activities <br />If any activity is located within a band 660 feet <br />from the 1-a line, additional signs shall be per- <br />mitted but only ~,rithin 50 feet from the activity <br />advertised if other~sise complying to the following <br />regulations: <br />Motorist Service District <br />Development, identification, business, directional <br />and informational signs, deci;ned as wa~ll•, project- <br />ing, marquee, ground or pole sign shall be per- <br />mitted as accessory to the follo~•ring main uses: <br />Motel or Restaurant, the total area of the <br />sign, or signs, shall not exceed 75 square feet <br />for any restaurant or any motel building, and <br />shall not exceed 150 square feet for a combined <br />restaurant and motel. <br />Service Station, the total area of the signs <br />shall not exceed 60 square feet for any station <br />abutting one street; the total area may be in- <br />creased to 120 square feet if a station abuts <br />on two streets; any separate sign shall not <br />exceed 30 square feet in area. <br />Garage, the total area of the signs shall not <br />exceed 60 square feet for any garage, or one <br />square foot for each lineal foot frontage of <br />the main building, whichever is the lesser. <br />Office - Laboratory District <br />Development identification, business, directional <br />and informational types of signs, designed as wall, <br />-lg - <br />
