Any permanent full-time employee who is otherwise eligible to be covered under a contract of hospitalization and medical coverage but voluntarily withdraws from the above-referenced insurance coverage shall be paid the amount of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) for each year the employee is employed by Mayfield Village but does not request coverage. The payment authorized herein shall be made in equal quarterly installments. J. OV ERTIME. 1. Overtime will be paid in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act, as amended. 2. All overtime shall be approved in advance by the Mayor unless there exists an emergency that threatens the health, saf ety and welfare of the municipality. K. TRAV EL ALLOWANCE AND CONFERENCE EXPENSE. 1. Twenty cents ($.20) per mile is hereby allowed to reimburse employees of the City who are required to make trips on City business in their own automobiles, other than transportation to and from work, to be paid from the Treasury upon approval of the Mayor and the Director of Finance. 2. P,ny elected or appointed municipal officer, deputy, or assistant, or an employee of the Municipal Corporation, may attend, at the expense of the Municipal Corporation, any conference or convention relating to municipal affairs if authorized by the Mayor and the Department Head, and if the fiscal officer of the municipal corporation certifies that funds are appropriated and available for such purpose.
