r ~ ~ 1. Review the existing flood insurance study, topographic maps, Interstate 271 plans and storm sewer plans. 2. Perform field investigations to dete rmine existing materials, sizes and dimensions of culverts, ditches, ponds and storm sewers. 3. Determine drainage areas, pervious and impervious areas, run off coefficient and storm water run off to assist in preliminary design of improvements. 4. Perform a preliminary sizing of culverts, storm sewers, open channels, retention ponds and outlet structures. 5. Review preliminary design criteria and information with the Owner. 6. Prepare estimates of costs of all proposed improvements. 7. Prioritize all recommended improvements. 8. Prepare a report summarizing the results of the study. 9. Prepare an exhibit which identifies each phase of the recommended improvements. 10. Attend one formal meeting to present the report to the Owner. SECTION III - PLAN REVIEW A. As authorized by the Owner the E/A agrees to provide the necessary professional services required to assist representatives of the Owner with the design of each phase of the recommended improvements. The scope of this work will include reviewing the design data and consistency of improvements with the improvements recommended in Section II. SECTION IV - CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT PLANS A. As authorized by the Owner, the E/A agrees to provide the necessary professional services required for the preparation of detailed plans and specifications for all improvements authorized. These services shall include the following: 1. Prepare detailed plans, specifications, contract documents and estimates of cost for the improvements undertaken as directed by the Owner. 2. Furnish four (4) complete copies of all detailed plans, specifications, and estimates of cost to the Owner as part of this contract. 2
