1. To observe the daily progress of the work on the project to <br />determine compliance with the contract documents. <br />2. Exercise sound technical judgment in determining the quality and <br />conformance of material and workmanship of the plans, <br />specifications, and other contract documents. <br />3. Conduct various tests and review reports from testing laboratories <br />to ensure that construction materials and equipment utilized are in <br />conformance with contract documents. <br />4. Maintain records of construction and prepare daily progress <br />reports. <br />5. Report any Contractor failure to meet project requirements. Any <br />changes from project plans or specifications shall also be <br />reported. <br />6. Recommend minor changes in plans or specifications to better suit <br />field conditions. Prepare sketches or drawings of work performed <br />as may be necessary to ensure proper "revised-as-constructed" <br />drawings. <br />7. Maintain a record of construction progress and quantities to be <br />used in the preparation of construction payment estimates. <br />C. Nothing in this Agreement, with respect to the furnishing of Resident <br />Project Representatives and the conduct of their duties, shall be <br />construed to make the E/A responsible for, nor to have control of, <br />construction means, methods, techniques, sequences, or procedures, or for <br />safety precautions and programs in connection with the work; nor to make <br />the E/A responsible for the Contractor's failure to carry out the work in <br />accordance with the contract documents; nor to confer responsibility upon <br />the E/A for any acts or omissions of the Contractor, Subcontractor, or <br />others performing the work. <br />SECTION VII - ADDITIONAL SERVICES <br />A. The E/A shall provide for the performance of services which are not <br />included in SECTIONS II, III, IV, V and YI above, as authorized by the <br />Owner and as follows: <br />1. Line, grade, topographic, easement and rights-of-way, field <br />surveys, and related office plotting of notes, computations, <br />descriptions, and drafting. <br />2. Field surveys of existing structures, utilities and services. <br />3. Procuring permits, easements, or rights-of-way. <br />4 <br />
