-z- <br />ke fee is in addition to permit fees applicable to other structures which may <br />be incidental to the swimming pool, or plumbing, sewering, or wiring connections <br />therewith. <br />Section 3. Construction of SwiffiinR Pools. <br />Every swimming pool constructed after passage of this ordinance shall be <br />provided with an overflow trough not less than two and a half inches wide and <br />extending around the entire margin of the pool. This trough shall be connected with <br />a public sewer, and no water flowing into said-trough shall return to the pool. <br />The entire bottom of every such pool shall slope with a fall of not less than <br />one-quarter inch per running foot to an outlet connected with a public sewer. <br />Section 4. Requirements for SwimminQ Pools. <br />No swimming pool or pool used for cleansing purposes shall be used <br />or maintained unless all of the requirements of this ordinance are complied with. <br />No swimming pool shall be constructed within £ifteen (15) feet of the rear or side <br />property lines, unless the owner of the abutting property consents in writing <br />to a lesser distance. No swimming pool shall be constructed in a front yard. <br />No swimming pool may be constructed in a side yard, except with the written <br />consent of the owners of all the abutting property, nor shall it be constructed <br />within 20 feet of a dwelling located on an abutting property, except with a <br />written consent of the owner of such abutting property. Only family swimming <br />? pools shall be constructed in a single family or two-family use district. <br />Section 5. Cleaning. <br />Every swimming pool shallbe completely and thoroughly cleaned by an <br />approved method of the Health Department of Cuyahoga County or State of Ohio at <br />least once every seven (7) days, unless there is maintained an approved re- <br />circulating filtering device. <br />Section 6. Bacterial quality. <br />All pools and plunges shall be sterilized with hypochlorite or a device <br />for dosing gaseous chlorine, so that the water in the pool at all times will <br />show chlorine residual of not less than 5/10 parts per million. <br />Section 7. Analytical record. <br />The persons responsible for the operation of every swimming pool shall <br />submit or shall have available for inspection at all times such operation and <br />analytical records to determine the sanitary condition of said pool as may be <br />required by the Board of Health, and there shall be posted at all times in a <br />conspicuous place adjacent to such swimming pool, a placard stating the number <br />of gallons of water in such pool and there shall be kept a record of the number <br />of bathers using such pool; and whenever and as often as the number of bathers <br />who have used such pool since the last cleaning or disinfecting thereof shall exceed <br />? one for every tWenty-five (25) gallons of water in such pool, such pool shall be <br />emptied, or the water therein shall be disinfected by the distribution throughout <br />such pool of such disinfectant in such quantity as the official charged with the <br />enforcement of this ordinance shall approve. <br />
