(1117.04 conga) .. <br />a. Right-of-Way and Pavement Widths <br />Whenever local streets are planned in accordance with the ~ <br />criteria set forth in this section, the .right-of-way width of such------- _-~ <br />street shall be 60 feet and the pavement width between curbs shall <br />be 26 feet. The Commission, however, may approve a right-of-way <br />width of 50 feet, and a pavement width of 24 feet for cul-de-sac <br />streets serving less than 15 dwelling units or a loop street serving <br />less than 30 dwelling units. <br />b. Intersections <br />Streets shall be designed to intersect as nearly at 90 degrees <br />as possible; no street shall intersect another at less than 70 degrees. <br />The intersection of more than tWO streets at a point or with center <br />line offsets oP less than 200 Peet shall not be permitted. <br />The vertical alignment, or grade within 100 feet of an iater- <br />section. should not exceed three per cent. An unobstructed "sight '~ <br />triangle" of not less than 75 Peet measured along the center lines <br />of the intersecting streets shall be provided. Property lines at <br />street intersections shall be rounded with a radius oP not less <br />than 30 feet Por arterial streets; 20 feet Por collector streets; <br />12 feet Por local streets. <br />c. Vertical Alignment <br />___ The maximum grade Por local streets should not exceed four <br />per cent in "ordinary (Op to B~) terrain"; grades exceeding Seven <br />per cent should be permitted Por only short distances oP approximately <br />200 feet.
