770 SOM Center Road <br />Mayfield Village, Ohio 44143 <br />Mayfield Village Fire Department Watch Office and or Training Room <br />If a disaster exceeds Mayfield Villages' resources, assistance will be requested <br />from Cuyahoga County's Office of Emergency Management (CCOEM). If the <br />County's resources are insufficient CCOEM will request assistance from the State <br />of Ohio, and if required, federal agencies. <br />3.2 Plan Activati®n <br />The Mayfield Village Fire Chief has the authority to activate the EOP. Upon <br />activation of the EOP, neighboring municipalities and the Cuyahoga County <br />Office of Emergency Management (CCOEM) will be notified. As determined by <br />the Mayfield Village and depending upon the nature of the emergency, all or <br />portions of the EOP may be activated. <br />3.3 Emergency ®eclarati®n <br />The Mayfield Village Fire Chief has the authority to declare a citywide <br />emergency. Upon declaration of a citywide emergency, the municipality will <br />notify the Cuyahoga County Office of Emergency Management (CCOEM). <br />A declardtion of a citywide emergency permits the Mayfield Village Fire <br />Department to make decisions necessary for public health and life safety. <br />Under an emergency declaration, Mayfield Village may ask the County for <br />additional resources in the form' of equipment or personnel. If the scope of the <br />disaster is beyond the financial and response capabilities of the County, the <br />County can request additional resources from the State. If the scope of the <br />disaster is beyond the financial and response capabilities of the County and <br />State combined, the Governor may make astate-level emergency declaration. <br />Following a governor's declaration, a request to the federal government for <br />assistance may be made. <br />--- --6~-Page <br />
