Agreement Between Mayfield Village, Ohio and the International Association Firefcghters, Local 2619 <br />1. Discuss the administration of this Agreement; <br />2. Notify the Union of changes made by the Fire Chief which affect <br />the bargaining unit; <br />3. Discuss grievances which have not been processed beyond the <br />final step of the grievance procedure when such discussion is <br />mutually agreed to by the parties; <br />4. Disseminate general information of interest to the parties; <br />5. Discuss ways to increase productivity and improvement of <br />efficiency; <br />6. To consider and discuss health and safety matters relating to <br />employees; and <br />7. All other matters agreed to between the Union and the Employer. <br />Section 9.3. It is further agreed that should special labor-management meetings be <br />requested and mutually agreed upon, they shall be scheduled as soon after the request as <br />is practical. <br />Section 9.4. The labor/management committee shall not be used to bypass the normal <br />chain of command, unless the problems are unable to be solved at the departmental level, or <br />have been previously addressed at the departmental level without any solution. <br />Section 9.5. There shall be a time limit not to exceed three (3) hours for said meetings. <br />The parties may, by mutual consent, continue past the time limits established herein. The <br />Union representatives attending the meeting will be paid their regular hourly rate of pay for <br />the duration of the meeting. <br />Section 9.6. In the event a designee of the Fire Chief or Mayor is the subject of the <br />labor/management committee meeting, only the Fire Chief or Mayor will be present at such <br />meetings, provided, however, the Union advises the Chief or Mayor of the nature of the <br />discussion. <br />Page 6 of 35 <br />
