ARTICLB 26 <br />HOLIDAYS <br />Section 26.1. For contr.act year 1994, the holiday benefits shall be earned <br />as stated in Mayfield Village Ordinance 93-28. As of December 31, 1994, any <br />accrued holiday time will be carried forward for use by the employee in <br />1995. Any unused time as of December 31, 1995, will be subject to Section <br />26.5 as stated herein. Starting January 1, 1995, the following articles <br />will define the holiday benefit. <br />Effective at the beginning of each year, <br />receive the following paid holidays: <br />New Year's Day <br />Memorial Day <br />Independence Day <br />Labor Day <br />Thanksgiving Day <br />Friday after Thanksgiving <br />Day before Christmas <br />Christmas Day <br />Three (3) Personal Days <br />all full-time employees shall <br />Section 26.2. All full-time employees shall receive eighty-eight (88) <br />hours of compensatory time on January lst as compensation for the holidays <br />listed in Section 26.1. This compensatory time shall be taken on a day <br />during the calendar year to be picked by the employee with the prior <br />approval of the Chief or Executive Officer, except that the City retains <br />the right to schedule the use of compensatory time on the holidays.stated <br />in Section 26.1. Section 26.3. If an employee is required to work on one of the holidays <br />set forth in Section 26.1 (excluding the three (3) personal days), he shall <br />be paid one and one-half (1 1/2) times his regular rate for all hours <br />worked. <br />Section 26.4. All full-time employees who work the majority of a shift on <br />a holiday shall be compensated for the entire shift in accordance with the <br />holiday pay provisions set forth in Section 26.3. <br />Section 26.5. Any unused compensatory holiday time accrued during the <br />calendar year and not taken by December 31, shall be taken in pay. Such pay <br />is to be made in the first pay period of the following January. <br />ARTICLB 27 <br />FUNSRAL LSAVFS' <br />Section 27.1. All employees shall be granted time off with pay for the <br />purposes of attending the funeral of a member of the employee's immediate <br />family. The employee(s) shall be entitled to a maximum of three (3) days <br />off for each death in the immediate family, which days shall not be <br />deducted from his sick leave credits. An additional two (2) days of leave <br />could be granted for out-of-state deaths or on approval from the Chief of <br />Police and Mayor. <br />19
