Section 8.2. (cont.) <br />A. discuss the administration of this Agreement; <br />B. notify the F.O.P. of changes made by the Police Chief which <br />affect the bargaining unit; <br />C. discuss grievances which have not been processed beyond the final <br />step of grievance procedure when such discussions are mutually <br />agreed to by the parties, <br />D. disseminate general information of interest to parties; <br />E. discuss ways to increase productivity and improvement of <br />efficiency; and <br />F. to consider and discuss health and safety matters relating to <br />employees. <br />G. All other matters agreed to between the F.O.P. and the Employers <br />may be added as another topic which will be discussed at the <br />labor/management meeting. <br />Section 8.3. It is further agreed that should special labor management <br />meetings be requested and mutually agreed upon, they shall be scheduled as <br />soon after the request as is practical. <br />Section 8.4.. The labor/management committee shall not be used to bypass <br />the normal chain of command, unless the problems are unable to be solved at <br />the departmental level, or have been previously addressed at the <br />departmental level without any solution. <br />Section 8.5. There shall be a time limit not to exceed three (3) hours <br />for said meetings. The parties may, by mutual consent, continue past the <br />time limits established herein. The F.O.P. representatives attending the <br />meeting will be paid their regular hourly rate of pay for the duration of <br />the meeting. <br />Section 8.6. In the event a designee of the Police Chief or Mayor is the <br />subject of the labor/management committee meeting, only the Police Chief or <br />Mayor will be present at such meeting, provided, however, F.O.P. advises <br />the Chief or Mayor of the nature of the discussion. <br />ARTICLB 9 <br />SSNIORITY <br />Section 9.1. Definjtion of SenjoritY: Seniority shall, for the purpose of <br />this Agreement, be defined as an employee's length of continuous full-time <br />service since his last date of hire, less any adjustments due to layoff and <br />approved leaves of absence without pay. <br />Section 9.2. Determjnation of Senioritv for Same Dav Hjres: Seniority <br />shall be computed from the date of appointment. If more than one person is <br />hired on the same date then that person occupying the highest position on <br />the Civil Service appointment liet shall receive seniority preference. <br />5
