from two traffic lanes with a 60 foot right-of-way to six lanes
with a median strip and service drives requiring a right-of-way
of up to 120 feet wide.
Mayfield Village's arterial system which includes SOM Center
Road (SR 91) and Wilson Mi11s Road is already established, and
can adequately serve the Village when it is fully developed.
However, further improvements will be needed.
Analyses and projections of traffic counts by the Cuyahoga
County Engineer at all major intersections, in relation to
Highway Research Board standards and land-use studies presented
in Chapter III wereused to identify the future improvements
which will be needed. A summary of these projections and
improvements follows.
HAYFIELD VILLAGE ADT Paving Width (Feet)
ARTERIALS 1990 2010 Existing Needed by 2010
SOM Center (SR 91
S. of White 12,350 14,200 42 48
N. of Highland 12,500 14,750 26 48
S. of Highland 12,500 14,400 32 48
N. of Beta 12,500 14,500 26 48
S. of Beta 12,800 14,700 26 48
N. of Wilson Mills 12,850 14,850 60 60
S. of Wilson 17,250 19,800 60 60
S.
