As such, the following areas are shown in Map 2. <br />- Wilson Mills: Along the north side of Wilson Mills Road <br />between CEI's substation at I-271 and Center Elementary <br />School; <br />- Mayfield Center Northeast: Along the north side of <br />Wilson Mills Road between residential uses to the east, <br />and the east side of $OM Center to Sandalwood; <br />- Mayfield Center Southwest: Along the west side of SOM <br />Center Road between Mayfield United Methodist Church and <br />Aintree Park Drive; and <br />- Mayfield Center Southeast: Along the south side of <br />Wilson Mills Road between residential uses to the east, <br />and the east side of SOM Center between Wilson Mills and <br />Seneca. <br />Revitalization actions for Mayfield Center are suggested on <br />Map 3. Other locations for business development were <br />considered, but only the above are shown on the <br />Comprehensive Plan because of its primary objective--to <br />protect and nurture the residential environment. <br />- Industrial: The extent, location and type of industrial <br />uses are described in the Village's adopted SOM <br />Center/Highland Development Study.. Two locations are <br />shown on MaP 2: <br />- Beta Drive: With the exception of the aforementioned <br />Wilson Mills business area and community facility uses, <br />the entire northwest quadrant of SOM Center/Wilson Mills <br />to a line approximately 700~feet north of Beta; and <br />- Progressive Park: The southwest quadrant of Wilson <br />Mills/I-271 west to residential uses on Worton Park <br />Drive. <br />The Comprehensive Plan envisions no further industrial <br />development in the community. <br />- Community Facilities: Goals and objective associated <br />with specific types of facilities are outlined later. <br />Generally, the Comprehensive Plan delineated locations <br />for all future community facilities which are clearly <br />essential in maintaining and enhancing the residential <br />environment. <br />29 <br />
