Agreentent betrveen Mayfield Village and F.O.P. Lodge 57 <br />ARTICLE 26 <br />HOLIDA YS <br />Section 26.1. Effective at the beginning of each year, all members of the bargaining <br />unit shall receive the following paid holidays: <br />New Year's Day Thanksgiving Day <br />Memorial Day Friday after Thanksgiving <br />Independence Day Day before Christmas <br />Labor Day Christmas Day <br />Five (5) Personal Days <br />Section 26.2. Effctive January 1, 2009, all members of the bargaining unit shall receive <br />six (6) Personal Days per year. <br />Section 26.3. All members of the bargaining unit shall receive one hundred four (104) <br />hours of holiday time on January lst as compensation for the holidays listed in Section <br />26.1. This holiday time shall be taken on a day during the calendar year to be piclced by the <br />employee with the prior approval of the Chief of Police or Executive Officer, except that the <br />Village retains the right to schedule the use of holiday time on the holidays stated in Section <br />26.1. <br />Section 26.4. If an employee is required to work on the holidays set forth in Section 26.1 <br />(excluding the five (5) personal days), he shall be paid one and one-half (1 '/2) times his <br />regular rate for all hours worked. <br />Section 26.5. All members of the bargaining unit who work the majority of a shift on <br />a holiday shall be compensated for the entire shift in accordance with the holiday pay <br />provisions set forth in Section 26.3. <br />Section 26.6. Any unused holiday time accrued during the calendar year and not taken by <br />December 31St, shall be taken in pay. Such pay is to be made in the first pay period of the <br />following January. <br />6/1/2006 Page 23 of 36
