(14) At the time a candidate or his/her representative takes out permits for political signs, they shall sign a receipt indicating they have received a copy of the Codified Ordinances pertaining to political sign regulations. Any violation of this section shall cause notice from the Building Com- missioner's office to the candidate, who shall correct the violation imme- diately, but not more than seventy-two hours from the time of the noti- facation. Thereafter, the Building Commissioner shall have the author- ity to remove such signs and place them in the Service Garage. At such time, the candidate shall forfeit one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) for each sign so confiscated, out of his/her deposit. ,r (?) Municipal Functions. Temporary signs for municipal functions shall be per- mitted and shall not be subject to any of the guidelines under this chapter, except that no such sign shall be permitted in excess of thirty days. 1185.15 LOCAL BUSINESS, SMALL OFFICE BUILDINGS, MOTORIST SERVICE DISTRICT, OFFICE LABORATORY AND PRODUCTION DISTRIBUTInN llISTRICTS. Accessory signs in Local Business, Small Office Buildings, Motorist Service District, Office Laboratory and Production Distribution Districts shall be designed, erected, altered and moved in whole or in part in accordance with the following regulations: (a) Functional Types Permitted. Business Signs, Canopy Signs, Directional Signs, Directory Signs, Ground Signs, Identification Signs, Integral 5igns, Nameplates, Wall Signs, and Window Signs. (b) Structural Tynes Permitted. Wall Signs, Canopy Signs, Ground Signs and Directional Signs shall be permitted. (c) Maximum Area and Number of Signs Permitted. The maximum area permitted for all signs shall be based upon one square foot of sign face area per lineal foot frontage of the building as measured on a horizontal plane. No sign shall have letters larger than eighteen (18) inches in height, nor shall any one sign exceed oue-hundred (100) square feet in area. (1) Business Signs. Business signs shall be limited to advertising the name, product or services thaC are located on the same lot. (2) Canopv Signs. Canopy signs may be attached to the soffit or fascia of a canopy or may be surface mounted to the underside of the canopy. Can- opy signs shall not exceed five (5) square feet in area. The vertical dimension shall not exceed one (1) foot and the horizontal dimension shall not exceed six feet. (3) Directory Signs. One Directory sign not to exceed six (6) feet in height and thirty-two (32) square feet in area and shall be located not less than thirty (30) feet from the right-of-way. (4) Ground Signs. One ground sign not to exceed six (6) feet in height with a maximum permitted area of one hundred (100) square feet. Any such
