sign shall Ue no closer than ten (10) feet from any property line; five <br />(5) feet from a driveway and thirty (30) feet from the -right-of-way. <br />., - Supporting columns and structural trim exceeding twenty five (25%) <br />percent of the sign face area shall be considered sign face area. All <br />ground signs shall be placed perpendicular to the street. <br />(5) Identification Signs. One identification sign shall be permitted not to <br />exceed thirty-two (32) square feet in area and six feet above grade. Such <br />signs shall be no closer than (30) feet from the right-of-way. <br />(6) Integral Sin_s_. One integral sign shall be permitted not to exceed two <br />(2) square feet in area. <br />(7) Nameplates. One nameplate not to exceed one (1) square foot in area <br />for each store or office unit in the building. <br />(8) Gasoline Service Stations. Si,gns for gasoline service stations shall <br />conform with all regulations of this . chapter except for those which <br />directly conflict with the regulations stated below: <br />(a) Ground Sign. Such signs may display only sign panels which <br />identify the company name; identify the station ownership or <br />management; and/or advertise the price of fuel by type, grade or form <br />of service. The sign panels indicating the price of fuel shall not exceed <br />sixty percent (60%) of the total of any .sign face area, and the numerals <br />and letters on such sign shall tiot : exceed ? two feet 'in height. No ground <br />sign sliall be located closer, than tliirty feet to the right-of-way line. <br />(b) Signs at Fuel Pumps/Service :1Islands. These signs- shall be limited to <br />those which display information regarding type of service provided <br />or other information essential in directing or instructing the motorist <br />who has entered the station area. The number, area and height of such <br />, signs shall be as determined by the Architectural Review Board. <br />(c) Canopies. For canopy structures which shelter service islands, no <br />signs shall be displayed on the canopy fascia area. Furthermore, the <br />canopy fascia area shall be non-illuminated and shall be designed in a <br />manner which does not call attention to the canopy structure. <br />(d) Total Allbwable Sign Space. The Building Commissioner is directed to allocate <br />the total allowable sign space for a building among the individual units as <br />follows: maximum square footage allowed for the building, prorated to the <br />front footage of each building tenant. <br />(e) Supplementary Regulations. In addition to the signs permitted herein, in cases <br />where the building has a dock area facing a location other than the street upon <br />which the building fronts, additional signs shall be permitted by the Commis- <br />sioner commensurate with the size and location of the area to be used solely <br />for directional purposes in conjunction with the intended use of the dock area. <br />(f) For Rent Lease, Sale Si gns. For rent, lease or sale signs shall be permitted for a <br />maximum six (6) month period. Such signs shall not exceed six (6) feet in <br />height and sixteen (16) square feet in area when attached to buildings. Ground
