f-Y07 UASI Grant Application updated using FY"07 UASI funds. These will be subrnitted to Ohia EMA's Grant Branch not Iater than the end of thc grant perfarrnance period and will be used to validate the work was completed as per the budget. Failure to do so may resu}t in forfeiture or repayment of grant funds. Further, ail pubIications created with FY07 UASI funding shall prominently contain the fallowing statement: "This document w+us prepared ander a grant from the U.S. Departmcnt of Homeland Seeurity (DHS). Agencies and associations must justify propased expenditures of UASI funds to support organization activities within their grant applicatian using historical data and other analysis to substantiate their proposals. No more than 25 percent of the gross amount of the allocation for thc C1AST program may be used for operational expenses and overtimc costs far thc three operatiunal actiwitiea noted below. a) Operatianal overtime costs associated with increased securiiy measures ai critical infrastructure sites during DHS-declared periods of heightened alert to include costs inc;urrcd at Nationa! Spccia] Security Events (NSSEs) in UASI jurisdictions, as dcsignated by the Secretary of Homcland Security: Under this category, the fo]lowing restriction applies: • Not rnore thar? 14 percent may be used for costs incurred during Code Yellow ar qrAngc. • Thc remaining 15 percent may be used far costs incurred only during Code Orange. FY07 Ut1SI funds may only be used to support the- operational expenses associated with increased security mcasures at critical infrastrucriire sites in the !'ollowing authprized categories; • Backfill and ovcrtime expenses for slaffing State or lacal emergency operations centers (EOCS). • Hiring of contracted security for Critical infrastructure sites, • I'ublic safety ovcrtime. • Increaseci border security activities in coordination with Customs Border Patrol (as quilined in DHS Informatian Bullctin 4135). This includes activities such as anXi-terrorism task forces, Joint Terrorism Task Forces (JTTF), Area Mari#irrte Sccurity Committees (as required by lhe Niaritime "fransportation Security Act of2002), and "ferrorism Eariy Warning (TEW) groups, c) Grant funds may be used towards the hiring of new staff -and/or contractors tn Serve as intelligence analysts ta support information ar intelligence fusion capabilities.
