FY07 UASI GrantApplicatiqn <br />proficiency in intelligence analysis and production, (Limited ta 25 percent of the <br />total allocation) <br />The International Association of Law Enfprcement Intelligence Analysts' <br />(IALEIA) Educationdl Standard #7 (pa.ge 14 of the IALEIA Analytic St.andards <br />booklct) provides standards an thc categories of training needed for intelligeriee <br />analysts. These include subject-matter expertise, analytic mcthodologics, customer- <br />scrvice ethics, information hartdling and processirtg skills, critical thinking skills, <br />computcr literacy, ancf objectivity and intellectual honcsty, SuccessFul completion <br />ihe following courses satisfies the intclligence analyst training requirement. <br />Additional courses are being identified and will be shazed as soon as possible. A <br />certificate df completion of such training must be.on fle with the SAA And <br />should be made available to the DHS Preparedness Officers upon request. <br />• Intelligence Analyst Training Program (FLETC). <br />• Faundations af Intelligence Analysis Training (Internatianal Association of <br />Law EnForcements Intelligence Analysis). <br />3} Li quipment: FY07 UASI funds can be used far the acquisition of specialized <br />response equipment frorn the 21 equipment r,ategorics listed in the FY07 Autharized Equipment <br />List (AEL). The ALL, is only avaitable online through the Responder YC.nowledge Dase (RKB) <br />website at www.rkb,mi t.or , NOTC, the AEL is rautinely updated ar?d thus must be cansultcd <br />each time decisions are ta be madc on what cquipment to be purchased.
