Lodge 57 <br />5ection 24.5 In the event that an employee hired after January 1, 1985, voluntarily lea.ves his or her <br />employment prior to December 31 st of any year, his or her vacation time for that year shall be <br />prorated pursuant to the following formula: <br />Accrued Vacation Davs x Number of Days of the = Vacation Days <br />365 Year Already Passed Eamed <br />In the event an employee has already taken more vacation time than that to which his is entitled at the <br />time he gives notice that he is voluntarily terminating his employment, the Mayfield V'illage shall have <br />the right to withhold all amounts otherwise owed the employee to the extent necessary to reimburse <br />the V'illage of Mayfield. <br />ARTICLE ZS <br />UIVIFORMALLON»A1VCE <br />Section 25.1. All newly hired probationary employees sha11 receive, at the Employer's expense, all <br />items as listed on the Schedule on file with the Police Chief and previously approved by the Mayor and <br />Council. There shall not be additional uniform allowance duriiig the first year of employment for newly <br />hired employees. These rtems shall be paid by the Finance Department upon submittal of receipts <br />signed and approved by the Police Chief. All items purchased shall be surrendered to the Employer if <br />the employee fails to complete the probationary period. <br />Section 25.2. In 2003, all non-probationary employees shall receive an annual uniform purchase and <br />maintenance allowance in the amount of Seven Hundred Dollars ($700.00). In 2004, the amount shall <br />be Seven Hundred Twenty Five Dollars ($725..00). In 2005 the amount shall be Seven Hundred Fifly <br />Dollars ($750.00). <br />Section 25.3. Whenever diffferent or additional uniform items are required due to promotion of a full- <br />time member of the Police Department, the Employer shall purchase those items for which bills aze <br />presented together with an approval for payment from the Police Chief. <br />Section 25.4. Effective with the ratification of this contract, any employee who has a V'illage <br />purchased ballistic vest which is older than five (5) yeaus old may be eligible to be reimbursed up to an <br />amount mutually agreed upon by the V'illage and the F.O.P. for replacement cost of a new vest. <br />However, should the officer receiving the vest ternunate employrnent with the V'illage within two years <br />after receiving the vest, he will retum the vest and the V'illage will refund the o$'icer his or her <br />cantribution. <br />Page 21 of 35
