Annually, and in accordance with standards set <br />forth by the State of Ohio, Department of Health, in the Ohio <br />Revised Code #3701.143, all bargaining unit members who have <br />completed their probationary period and who achieve said <br />certification shall be entitled to a payment of $1,202.00 in <br />2000, $1,250.00 in 2001 and $1,300 in 2002. <br />Section 32.2. Annually, upon presentation of evidence of <br />satisfactorily completion of said certification, the Chief of <br />Police shall forward a letter to the Finance Director authorizing <br />payment to members of the bargaining unit. Such sum shall be paid <br />to the employee in a lump sum separate check as soon as may be <br />practical. <br />AItTl~E 33 <br />F ~ PROF~CI~TCY AZI,OWANCE <br />Section 33.1. Annually and in accordance with standards set forth <br />by the Chief of Police and the Ohio Peace Officer Training Cour_cil, <br />all bargaining unit members shall be required to satisfactorily <br />complete a firearms re-qualifications program demonstrating <br />proficiency with departmentally-issued (or approved) firearms. <br />Section 33.2. Annually, upon certification by the Chief of Police <br />of completion of the required firearms re-qualification standards, <br />each member of the bargaining unit who has completed his <br />probationary period shall be entitled to a payment of $1,202.00 <br />in 2000, $1, 250.00 in 2001 and $1, 300 in 2002. Such sum shall be <br />paid in a lump sum separate check as soon thereafter as may be <br />practical. <br />Page 35 of 43 <br />
