Agr..imnt b.trr.a dlayfi.Zd V311aga usd F.O.P. Zoay,e s7 <br />ARTICL1;10 <br />LAYOFF AND RECALL <br />Section 10.1. When the Employer determines a layoff is necessary, <br />the ,mployer shall notify the affected employees, in writing, at <br />least five (5} calendar days in advance of the effective day of <br />layoff. The Employer, upon written request from the F.O.P., agrees <br />to discuss with the representatives of the F.O.P., the impact of <br />the layoff on the bargaining unit employees. <br />Section I0.2. When <br />affected <br />seniority, <br />employees <br />with the <br />the Employer determines layoffs will occur, <br />will be laid off in accordance with their <br />least senior laid off first. <br />Section 10.3. Employees who are laid off shall be placed on a <br />recall list for a period of two (2) years. If there is a recall, <br />employees who are still on the recall list .shall be recalled, in <br />the inverse order of their layoff, provided they are presently <br />qualified to perform the work in the classification to which they <br />are recalled. <br />Section 10.4. Notice of recall shall be sent to the employee by <br />registered mail, with a copy to the r.0.P. The Employer shall be <br />deemed to have fulfilled its obligation by mailing the recall <br />notice, by registered mail, to the last mailing address of the <br />employee. <br />Section 10.5. The recalled employee shal 1 have seven (7} calendar <br />days, following the date of receipt of the recall notice, to notify <br />the Employer of the employee's intention to return to work. The <br />employee shall have fourteen (14) calendar days following the <br />receipt date of the recall notice in which to report for duty, <br />unless a different date is otherwise specified in the notice. <br />Page I1 of 43 <br />
