of the intent of the Contract Documents, URSG will have authority to require special inspection or <br />testing of the Work in accordance with the provisions of the Contract Documents, whether or not <br />such Work be then fabricated, installed or completed. <br />10. URSG shall review or take appropriate action upon Contractor's submittals. such as Shop Drawings, <br />Product Data, and Samples. but only for conformance with the design concept of the Work and with <br />the information given in the Contract Documents. Such action shall be taken with reasonable <br />promptness so as to cause no delay. URSG' approval of a specific item shall not indicate approval <br />of an assembly of which the item is a component. <br />11. URSG shall prepare Change Orders for the Client's approval and execution in accordance with the <br />Contract Documents, and shall have authority to order minor changes in the Work not involving an <br />adjustment in the Contract Sum or an extension of the Contract Time, and not inconsistent with the <br />intent of the Contract Documents. <br />12. URSG shall furnish a set of mylar reproducible Record Drawings showing changes in the Work made <br />during the construction process, based on mark-ups, drawings, and other data furnished by the <br />inspectors and the Contractor to URSG. <br />13. URSG shall conduct inspections to determine the Dates of Substantial Completion and Final <br />Completion, shall receive and forward to the Client for the Client's review written warranties and <br />related documents required by the Contract Documents and assembled by the Contractor, and shall <br />issue a Final Certificate for Payment. <br />14. =The. extent of the duties, responsibilities, and limitations of authority of URSG as the Client's <br />~;. representative during construction shall not be modified or extended without written consent of the <br />Client and URSG. <br />15. ~ The .issuance of a Certificate for Payment shall constitute a representation by URSG to the Client, <br />-based on. URSG' observations at the site and the data comprising the. Contractor's Application for <br />Payment, that the Work has progressed to the point indicated; that, to the best of URSG' knowledge, <br />information and belief, the quality of the Work is in accordance with the Contract Documents <br />(subject to an evaluation of the Work for conformance with the Contract Documents upon Substantial <br />Completion, to the results of any subsequent tests required by or performed under the Contract <br />Documents, to minor deviations from the Contract Documents correctable prior to completion and <br />to any specific qualifications stated in the Certificate for Payment); that the Contractor has submitted <br />Affidavits and Waivers of Lien from appropriate subcontractors and suppliers; and that the <br />Contractor is entitled to payment in the amount certified. However, the issuance of a Certificate for <br />Payment shall not be a representation that URSG has reviewed the construction means, methods, <br />techniques., sequences, or procedures, or has made any examinations to ascertain how and for what <br />purpose the Contractor has used the moneys paid on account of the Contract Sum except for reviews <br />made of the Affidavits and Waivers of Lien from subcontractors and suppliers. <br />16. URSG shall perform video taping of the Project area prior to construction. <br />17. URSG shall assist the Client in the preparation of correspondence and reports to the various state and <br />federal agencies that maybe involved in the Project. <br />Construction Phase -Inspection And Observation Services: URSG shall provide during the active <br />Construction Phase one (1) full-time equivalent inspector for a period not to exceed twenty-one (21) months <br />to endeavor to provide further protection for the Client against defects and deficiencies in the Work.
