1
Mr. Edelman stated that it would be a U6 special permit use which
would be needed, and that Council would have to amend the present zoning
ordinance in that such use as this was not enumerated in the present ;U6
uses in the present zorLi.ng ordinance.
Mr. Taylor asked of the quantity of water in+hich-would be required.
Mr. Feldner stated that it took between one and two hundred
gallons of water to wash a bus. Also that it seems this would have to
come from wells to be drilled..
Mr. Taylor asked of the possibility of water coming down Highland
Road, Mr. Swanson stated that there. are present plans to bring the water
mains down to Bishop Road from Richmond Road on Highland Road, but that
there are no immediate plans to-extend them further.
A member of the aixdience asked of the possibility of a waiting
room within the terminal.
~°. Feldner stated that clue to insurance problems they had not
planned any such waiting raom as yet..
Mr. Reed asked of the particular specific area which would have to
be re-zoned:
Mr. Feldner agreed that there was no need to have the whole area
included within the tract re-zoned. Mr. Oatess asked of the particular
minimum area which would have to .be re-zoned. Mr. Feldner°showed the
rendering of the present located building and it seems al]. that would be
necessarily ittvolved in the venture would be a space for entrance and
egress and for the actual building and the immediate contiguous area.
there was a question as to the present roadway to the 'building,
and the possible desirability of using the present roadway on the south
line of the tract. A center roadway was suggested so as to utilize the
front area for the development of residential properties. '
Mayor Hodgson stated that there were advantages and disadvantages
to be weighed one against the other in considering the desirability of the
proposed venture. He stated that it would be a tax aid to the Village
of Mayfield, and that if some present use of the tract is not effectuated,
it ~nrill be amore serious problem in the future. He also showed that
there is a possibility of a decreased valuation.. of immediately contiguous
properties; however, it might be that the bus service which would follow
would more than offset such decrease. Mayor Hodgson emphasized that if
something is not done with the tract presently a problem will arise in
the future. Mayor Hodgson also added that this was not a meeting to
decide anything, but merely to introduce the problem.
Mr. Swanson asked for the specific things the Redifer Bus Company
would want, since the Planning and Zoning Commission would need some
specific specifications.
3.
