-3- <br />Mr. Edelman stated that the statutes of the State of Ohio <br />require a public hearing for such an Ordinance as the proposed Ordinance <br />herein. <br />Mr. Whiting asked if the proposed Ordinance for Regulating the <br />Platting of Land had the approval of the Planning and Zoning Commission, <br />the Village Engineer, and the Village Solicitor. <br />Mr. Edelman, Solicitor of the Village of Mayfield, Mr. Demore, <br />representative of the Engineer of the Village of Mayfield, and Mr. Swanson, <br />member of the Planning and Zon_i.ng Commission, asserted that it had such <br />approval. <br />Mr. Whiting asked if there were anything which prevented subdividing <br />without platting by mean"s of description by metes and bounds, in the proposed <br />Ordinance. <br />Mayer Hodgson and Mr. Edelman noted that all plats must be first <br />submitted to the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Village Engineer and <br />Council before approval and this appeared to be a sufficient safeguard to the <br />manner of subdividing. <br />It was moved by Mr. Taylor and seconded by Mr. Endress that a public <br />hearing on proposed Ordinance No, -.68 be held on June 21, 195. at 7:30 P.M. <br />at the Village Hall and that notice -of such hearing be posted. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - ATessrs. Beard, ZNhiting, Oatess, Endress, Taylor <br />& Swanson. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion Carried. <br />Sufficient copies of proposed Ordinance No. L~6$ were distributed <br />to the members of Council for their consideration, <br />Mayor Hodgson suggested that the Ordinance for the Construction <br />of Roads, Ordinance No. 257, should be amended so as to b e integrated into <br />the proposed Ordinance No. 1.68. <br />Mr. Edelman presented the matter of the Mutual Aid Fire Pact, in <br />the form of a Resolution, between the following municipalities: Lyndhurst, <br />Mayfield Heights, Gates Mills, South Euclid, Highland Heights, and Mayfield <br />Village. The Mutual Aid-Fire Pact is to be effective as of January 1, 195~s <br />and to extend for a three year period. Mr. Whiting introduced Resolution <br />No® 2l~8 entitled "A Resolution Authorizing a Contract with Various Villages <br />and Cities for Mutual Fire Protection Aid", which was read to Council. <br />It was moved by Mr. Taylor and seconded by Mr. Endress that the <br />rules of law requiring a Resolution to be read on three separate occasions <br />be suspended. <br />
