He read a list of possible future improvem <br />ments for the following streets, with our Engineers figures of the approximate <br />cost of the village share of improvements: Ridgebury X1800.00 (this is <br />felt to be a necessary.improvement in the event the County accepts this road); <br />Highland Road ~p16,000`00; Lander Road X2,600.00; and SOM Road, which includes <br />the entice portion of the road not already improved, X16,200.00, making a <br />total of ~36,600.00~ <br />I`'Ir. Oatess then introduced Resolution No. 27b entitled: "A Resolution <br />Declaring the Necessity of Authorizing and Directing the Village Engineer <br />to Prepare Plans, Specifications, and Estimates of Cost of a 12" Water Main <br />in SOM Center Road in the Village of Mayfield, Ohio, Starting at the North <br />End of the Existing Water 'lain Now Located in SOM Center Road, and Extending <br />Northerly about 1586 Feet, but to the North Line of a x.0.185 Acre Parcel <br />of Land now or formerly owner by Albert Weisberg, being approximately 1956 <br />feet North of the_Center Line of Highland Road", which Resolution was read <br />to Council. It was moved_by r7r. Swanson, seconded by Mr. Strater, that the <br />rules of law requiring a resolution to be read on three separate occasions <br />be suspended. <br />Roll Ca11: Ayes ®Messrs Swanson, Strater,Whiting,Beard & Oatess. <br />IJays None. <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />It was moved by Mr. Whiting, seconded by ~Zr. Strater, that Resolution <br />No. 276.be adopted as reado ~ , <br />Ro]].. CaL: Ayes _ Messrs Swans on, Strater,whiting,Beard & Oatess. <br />. Cotmcil then took up the matter of securing a copy of a report on a <br />comprehensive arterial highway system for .metropolitan Cleveland. We had <br />been assured by Mr. Noyes that this would not exceed ~~15000. Tt was <br />brought out in Council that, inasmuch as we might be a part of.an outerbelt <br />system, it would be good sense to secw.°e a copy of this report to have on <br />record and study. It was moved by I`ir. Heard, seconded by M1 . ~dhiting, that <br />we spend X15,00 for this report. <br />Roll Ca11 Ayes - I`7essrs Swans on, Strater,Whiting,Beard ~ Oatess. <br />Nays .~ None. <br />_ Motion Carried <br />I`Ir® Edelman. reported that, as the clerk was short of money iri the <br />General Fund, he could get an advance on our tax collection if the request <br />was made .by resolution. Nr. Qatess then introduce.resolution No. 277 <br />.entitled: "A Resolution requesting the County Aucli~tor to advance funds to <br />the Village of I'~ayfield out of the current tax col:le ctions dw,°ing the fiscal <br />year 1955", which resolution eras read to Council. It was moved by Mr. swans on, <br />seconded by I°Tr. Beard, that the rules of law requiring a resolution to be <br />read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />3. <br />
