Tt was moved by Nlr. Datess, seconded~by Mr. Strater, that the rules <br />of law requiring an Ordinance, to be read on three-separate occasions be <br />suspended. <br />RoL Ca11: Ayes -Messrs Taylor, Strater, Datess, Whiting and Swanson. <br />Nays -None. <br />Motion care ied <br />Rules suspended <br />It was moved by Mr. Taylor, seconded by.~r. Strater, that Ordinance <br />No. 522 be approved and passed as read.. <br />Ro11 ca11r Ayes -Messrs Taylor, Strater,_Datess, Whiting ~ Swanson <br />Nays -None. . <br />Motion carried <br />Ordinance passed <br />At. this,,, point, Mr. Taylor, who was . i11, asked to be excused -and <br />].eft the meeting. <br />Mayor Endress then asked for a report from-the Safety Committee, and <br />~'lr. Strater, reporting, read a combined report from the Safety and the Finance <br />Committee as follows: ._ <br />"At a meeting of the Safety & Service Committee held September 6, <br />1955, the .subject of Mr. •Leppelmieri s _resignationi was discus sed at great <br />length. It was definitely ascertained that the reason for Mr. Zeppelmier's <br />resignation was due solely to his loss of Village business over-.a period of <br />several years. It.was further brought out that he tirishes to be of no <br />further service to the people of this village and ghat he no longer feels <br />an obligation to give our community the benefit of lus experience as a <br />fireman. It, is, therefore, Frith regret ,that this cormni.ttee unanimously <br />recommends .that Council accept hi.s resignation." It was moved by Mr. Strater, <br />seconded by., Mro Datess, that 1''Jr. heppe]inier~ s resa~.ation from the,Fire <br />Department be ac cep-ted. .. „ . ~ - .. <br />Ro11,Ca11s Ayes -Messrs Strater, Datess,-Whiting and Swanson. <br />Nays -None. <br />Motion carried <br />As Chief Porter had requested a new Leece-Neville Alternator for <br />the Fire Truck, and the old one being proved inadequate, the Safety and <br />Finance Conuni.ttees recommend to Council that a new alternator be purchased <br />for the Fire Truck not to exceed ~200.OOo <br />It was moved by Mr. Datess, seconded by Mr. Strater, that a new <br />alternator be purchased far the Fire Truck not to exceed X200.00. <br />Ro11 Cal].: Ayes -Messrs Strater, Datess, Whiting and Stiaanson. <br />Nays -None. <br />Motion carried <br />4. <br />
