It vras moved by Mr. hall, seconded by Mr® Taylor, that the use <br />of the service directoras private truck by the Village be discontinued. <br />Roll Calla .Ayes Ayes a Messrs hardmanaSoheuxa.t~g,Taylor,Godfrey, <br />Cass and Hall <br />2days ®None <br />Motion Carried <br />Mayor Swanson painted out that a new control switch is needed for <br />the sewer pumps and stated that much more vrould probably be required before <br />long. It was moved by Pdr. Hall, seconded by Mr. Godfrey, that the expenditure <br />of up to X25.00 be authorized for the purchase of a control switch for the <br />sewer ptunp. <br />Ro11 Cal1o.,Ayes - Messrs Hardman, Scheuring,Taylor,Godfrey, <br /> Cass and Hall. <br /> Nays - None <br /> - ~~ Motion Carried <br /> Authorization made <br /> It was moved by Mr. God frey, seconded by Mr® hall, that the <br /> Solicitor be. requested to draft an ordinance for licensing mechanical <br /> amusement machines and signs in the business district, providing permits and <br />y fees for same, <br />Roll Calls <br />Ayes- <br />Messrs .. <br />Hardman,Scheuring,Taylor,Godfr®y,Cass & Hall <br /> Nays -None. <br /> Motion Carried <br />It was moved by Mr. Godfrey, seconded by Mr. Hall, that in the <br />future Council meetings should be open to comments by the public only upon <br />motion by Council rather than,' as in the past, by decision of the Chairman. <br />Mayor Swanson called this a gag rule and un-democratic. Several members <br />of the audience protested the change and one or two members of Council <br />explained that they had no intention of preventing the public from expressing <br />itself at meetings, but felt that some sort of order should be preserved <br />s„o as to expedite the conduct of regularCouncil business.
