It was moved by Mr.' Sloans`~seconded'by D•r°. Waltz, that the rules of <br />law requiring an Ordinance be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - ti~laltz, Sloan, Endress, Scheuring, Cass & Oatess. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />It was moved by Dr. Waltz, seconded by Mr. Sloan, that Ordinance No. <br />•i~27 be passed as read® <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Waltz, Sloan, Endress, Scheuring and Oatess. <br />Nays - Mrs. Cass. <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />The Safety and Service Committee reported that Fire .Chief Porter has <br />requested 300 feet of new fire hose (2.5 inch) for the fire department. <br />Mr. Porter introduced Mr. Summers, of the 'rV. H. Summers Company to <br />Council. Mr. Summers showed samples of two different hoses. Both hoses <br />vrere 2211 I.D. Double Jacket, Cotton Rubber Lined for x.00# pressure, in 501 <br />lengths, and coupled with Rocker Lug Type, :all brass couplings. This hose <br />sells for X1.62 ft. coupled, The same hose treated to be water repellent <br />and Mill Dew resistant is ~. 06 per foot extra. Delivery can be made in 2 <br />or 3 weeks. <br />It was moved by Mr. Scheuring, seconded by Mr. Sloan, that 300 feet <br />of the Water repellent, mill dew resistant hose be purchased,, at X1.68 per <br />foot. <br />Ro11 Gall: Ayes - Waltz, Sloan, Endress, Scheuring, Cass and Oatess. <br />Nays - None. ' <br />Motion Carried <br />The Committee advised Council that the Service Director has requested <br />that the wages for road help be increased from ~ .85 to X1.25 per hour. <br />Mr. Sloan introduced Ordinance No. I~28, entitled: T1An O-rd.inance <br />Fixing the Rate of Compensation for Road Labor and Repealing Ordinance <br />Na ® 2I~9110 <br />It was moved by Mr. Scheuring, seconded by Mr. Endress, that the <br />rules of law requiring an OrcLi..nance to be read on three separate occasions <br />be suspended. _. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Waltz, Sloan, Endress, Scheuring, Cass and Oatess. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />3. <br />
