D~fayor Swanson asked Police Chief bixon to report on the new quick-call
system. University Heights is the main station, with about 20 mobile
units hooked up with it. There is a buzzer system in the police car so,
that, if the driver is away from the car,, the .coming call can be detected
by the buzzer. The over-all"cost of this unit is X500.00, and our Village
share X27.50. To install a Motorola radio unit with buzzer in our police
car would cost ~7.40e00 iNhich includes the ~~27.50. There is no extra monthly
charge, but is included in our regular police radio service through University
Heights.
