The Finance Commifitee.having approved.the Pay Ordinance, it was moved <br />by Mr. Zorn, seconded by Mr. Wedler, that Pay Ordinance No, 458-P be approved <br />and passed as read. . <br />.. Ro11 Callt Ayes - Messrs Zorn,Wedler,Bennett,Brown,Grootegoed & Belzer, <br />Nays - Nonea _ <br />Motion carried <br />Pay Ordinance Passed <br />Mr. Zorn then recommended that the General Fund pay $1,000.00 towards the <br />note which it owes to the Water Main Trust Funda It was then moved by Mr. Zorn, <br />seconded by Mr. Belzer, that the Clerk be instructed to pay $1,000.00 on our note. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Zorn,Wedler,Bennett,Brown,Grootegoed & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Niayor Endress then read a letter from the City of Cleveland, acknowledging <br />receipt of our share of cost of the gas rate fighte <br />Mayor, Endress then read a letter from Mra Capretta, asking for an <br />inspection f or approval and the final acceptance for dedication of the Eastgate <br />Allotment, Eastgate Drive and Pieadowood Driveo Mayor Endress then suggested <br />that our Committee of Council members get onto this matterm A meeting was <br />then set up for the 28th of October with the Committee, our Engineer and Mr. <br />Capretta. Mr. Peterson said that $100.00 f or engineering fees sheuld be <br />deposited with the,Clerk. <br />bIayor Endress then read a letter from Charles Koerber of Kenwood <br />Builders asking that the underground improvements of Oakwood and Thornapple <br />Drives be accepted. . <br />Mr. Edelman then explained that in this iristance things were different - <br />that there ought to be some checking up to see if everything was 0. Ke; that <br />this was a case where they had no plat.on record and instead of putting up a <br />bond they had decided to put in the improvements. ASr,. Peterson said that <br />there should be a bond on the pavement which should run f or at least a year. <br />Mr. Peterson said he had,not inspected the underground but the pavement was <br />in good shape. Nire Peterson was then told to inspect the underground improve-. <br />ments and the pavement on Oakwood and Thornapple and that a bond should be <br />posted. M r, Edelman said that this could not be put on record until the <br />next meeting. . <br />Mr. Edelman then read a letter from Kenwood Builders and said the <br />damaged sections should be marked - that they had aslced for a reduction in <br />their bondm Mr. Peterson said that there were 440 square yards of pavement <br />that was not satisfactory and if the bond was reduced to ten thousand, this <br />should be ample. The original bond was for$$2, O'OOo 00, . <br />, Mrs. Broxan, seconded by Mr. Belzer., then introduced Resolution No. 515 <br />entitled; "A Resolution Authorizing the Substitution of a Bond in the Amount <br />of $10,000>00 for the present Bond given to cover the Improvements of the <br />Streets in Kenwood Gardens Subdivision No. 2-Al`' which resolution was read to Council. <br />_ 3.
