NIayor Endress then asked for reports from the various committees. Mr. <br />Sloan, reporting for the Architectural Board, said that they had met and approved <br />one plan and an addition on Wilson Mills Road. <br />Mr. Walker said that he had nothing to report from the Welf are Committee; <br />that he had to wait until the building taas completed before further work on a bus <br />shelter. <br />A4ayor Endress then reported that Pat Laconti would like to have a Village <br />Home Day and have it at the Golf Course, riayor Endress asked Tir..Wallcer to talk to <br />these people. ' <br />Mr. Bennett had nothing to report f rom the Building Committee. <br />NIr. riason, reporting for the Planning and Zoning Commi_ssion= read their <br />Niinui:es to Council. • <br />Mr. Belzer, reporting for the Safety and Service Committee, said that they <br />had met on June 7th and that Fire Chief Por.ter had requested that a new f ire code <br />be adopted. Mr. Edelman then asked Mr. Porter to get.a copy of the Fire Code f or <br />the Law Library, r1r. Sloan, seconded by Mr. Mason, then introduced Ordinance No. <br />893 entitled: "An Ordinance Amending Sectiori One of Ordinance No. 788, entitled: <br />'An Ordinance Adopting a Tire Prevention Code, Prescribing Regulations Covering <br />Conditions Hazardous to Life and Property From Fire or Explosion and Establishing <br />a Bureau of rire Prevention and Providing Officers Therefor and Defining Their <br />Powers and Duties';'by Adopting the 1965 Fire Prevention Code", which ordi.nance <br />was read to Council. <br />It was moved by Mr. Walker, seconded by Nir. Shaw, that the rules of law <br />requiring an Ordinance to be read .on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Call: A'yes - Tlessrs Shaw, Bennett, 4Jalker, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />. , _ Motion carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />It was moved by Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mr. Walker, that Ordinance No. 893 <br />be approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Call; Ayes - Messrs Shata, Bennett, UJa7.ker, Nlason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Mot i:on carr ied <br />Ordinance Yassed, <br />Mr. Belzer said that Mr.'Wieland had asked for a new mower f or the tractor. <br />It was moved by Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mr. Mason, that this mower be purchased, <br />not to exceed $40.00. . . . <br />Poll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Bennett,Walker, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. . <br />Motion carried <br />2.
