This brought up a great deal of discussion on the
absence of a sprinkler system in the underground garages being constructed on
this project. It seems that there was nothing in our ordinance covering this,
as the area of the garage went over anything covered by our ordinance and State
Rules would kiave,'to apply:::-, Mr; %Hejcl said that under the present State Code
it was a matter of interpreting what and how. Mr. Edelman emphasized several
times,that if this violates the State Code, it could not go in. Mr. Bennett said that they had just discussed other means of assessments;
that they went along with a lot of it, but would have to go to the County
Commissioners.
Mr. Mason, seconded by.Mr. Shaw, then introduced Ordinance No. 919,
entitled: "An Ordinance to Provide f or Transfer and Appropriation of Funds .
for Various Purposes During the Year 1965", which ordinance was read to Council.
It was moved by Mr. Walker, seconded by Mr. Mason, that the rules of law
requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended.
Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Bennett, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Belzer.
Nays - None.
Motion carried
Rules Suspended
It was moved by Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mr. Mason, that Ordinance No. 919
be approved and passed as read.
Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Bennett, .Walker.,Mason, S1oan & Belzer.
Nays - None.
Motion carried
Ordinance Passed
3.
